The problem lies with the splitter I think, what kind of splitter is it or did you just devide the cable in two. If it is a bought one with your aerial cable in and then two outputs, try swapping the cables on the outputs. ie. The output which goes to the bedroom make it go to the kitchen and vice versa. If you still get picture in the bedroom then its the cable from the splitter to the kitchen. Let me know how it goes.
