my belt was making the screeching noise when cold. it also caused the steering to become jumpy. funny old thing the belt snapped this morning.

Is the pas belt tight? Get someone to hold it on full lock and see if the belt is slipping.

i have checked my fluid its fine i had pipe split before and the garage sorted that and topped up my fluid and there are no leaks now so i dont think its that. i have been told it could be my power steering belt but that was from sum guy in the pub......he sounded drunk aswell haha
