try a motor rewinds, listed in the yellow pages. i know there is one where i live. dont ask me how much itll cost.

Isn,t this the engine with points fitted? If so why not use a coil off a car or a motorcycle. Failing that i have seen parts for these on ebay but as there pretty robust secondhand parts dont come up that often.
