How do i delay my alarm-Accenta,Optima G3?

ever since the power was turned off and the spair battery ran down the alarm goes off as i enter the house giving me no time to enter my code.It used to give me a 10-20 second delay as the key pad is in the lounge not next to the door.how do i get the delay back on?
