having a problem starting my ford cargo 0811. changed all filters and cleaned glass bowl filter too.
she smokes when trying to start but wont fire.
tryed easy start "once" and started first time and she runs ok. is there anything else to check.

well done JD, the spring on the cable stop located on the engine is only thin and often lost, exactly what happened to our cargo. the stop cable couldn't go back fully and was a pain to start. not sure if available from ford but there's plenty of breakers around.

Make sure that the engine stop control is fully pushed in. It is spring loaded but sometimes it sticks. If this happens the engine will not start and you can waste a lot of time looking at filters etc.
