how can i fix my tomtom?

This usually means that the maps have not been verified or that the SD card has lost the information, if you have a backup up on your computer, try restoring it from the computer using "TomTom Home". That will usually work. If you have not backed them up, then contact TomTom see what they can do. One other reason, may be that you have put the wrong SD card into the TOMTOM.

Steve, Seeing your question prompted me to investigate further. Went to the Tom Tom web page and looked under "Online Help". Clicked on No. 11 "Repairs" to get to "Find your answer". Followed the instructions and mine is now working fine. Had to reset it up though it had lost all favourites etc.

I have the same problem. A red cross appears on the screen across an SD card. Have tried to reset but it doesn't help. Have taken card out and reinserted a number of times but doesn't help either.
