can a caravan fridge just run on elec n do i need a vent?
have a caravan 3 way fridge n want to put it in my new caravan. only ever run it on elec so do i have to put a vent into the side of the caravan even if its not connected to the gas mains?
for realy hot days i installed a small 12v computer cooling fan(found in all computer towers ) to inside of vent then just throw the switch on the circuit when needed

The short answer is yes if you want the fridge to be efficient. If you dont the heat exchanger fins at the back will, on a warm day, not be able to get rid of the heat.
These 3 way fridges are designed to operate with the rear of the fridge in a free moving flow of air.
Don't confuse heat vents with flue vents. they are not the same thing.
