I have the same problem???

My whirlpool washing machine has exactly the same problem. I can move the nozzle to change the cycle. It sounds like it is starting the cycle for a few seconds then dis-ables itself and stops with the door locked mechanism flashing. It will not let me open the door until the nozzle is switched to the off podsition. If anybody has any advice of the part i may need i would be grateful. Kind regards Jennifer
