i can not turn my tomtom off it is stuck on the start screen.it will not turn of or let me into the system

my tom is charging but not turning on and i push the reset butteon 1,000 times what can i do

Try pushing in the reset button on the bottom of the device. You will not lose any information, just a soft reset.
