Hoover Nextra washing Machine, water inlet filter?

Our Nextra machine only has a cold water inlet, I have noticed that our cold wter supply often has bits of black gung which now and again gets onto some garments. How do I clean the inlet filter, I have presumed that there is one. Any devine guidance would be greatly appreciated.
