corsa timing chain ?

yea done one to day about a 3 hour job p;us u need the lokking pins / bsr 4 cams but a pease off piss

i have been told the reason my daughters 1.2 corsa (2001)sounds like a tractor is that it has a timing chain and not a belt is this correct and will changing it solve the noise problem .

there is no adjustment as the tensioner is automatic, if the chain is making a noise it would indicate the tensioner has either failed or reached the limit of it's adjustment so the only fix is to strip it down and replace the chain and tensioner plus the sprockets if they are worn.
