Mend Vauxhall Omega Runs Rev Tickover

How can I fix my Vauxhall Omega?

My Omega does not respond to the throttle at all and just runs at around 1000 rev tickover. Wondered if it might be throttle sensor or perhaps air flow meter but don't really know. Car is an auto and I actually got it home 8 miles on this tickover spead!
Anyone got any ideas
