If your replacing fuel filters the easiest thing to remember is to fill the filters to the brim with diesel before you fit them as alot of air will be in the system,
Remove your fuel filter and fill to brim replace and turning over engine at top of filter bracket they should be a air bleed nut slacked this and then turn engine over make sure you have someone with you watching to see if diesel is been kicked out of air bleed as you will be in and out of the van looking yourself.
When this is happening tighten up air bolt and keep turning engine once it fires up any other air the the pipes leading to the engine will be kicked out on their own.
The other alternative is to slacken right of pipe leading to the injectors and keep turning over engine until you see a continuous flow!
