thetford c4 cassette toilet leaks?

My thetford c4 cassette toilet leaks from the header tank where a blank plug is fitted.The toilet can be fitted to the left or right hand side and the plug replaces the filler pipe. Unfortuneatly it is an arms length away and out of sight except by use of a mirror and can only be touched with finger tips. It appears to be tight but weeps a cup full approx when you drive around even if the tank has been emptied as not everything seems to come out. I know it is the header tank because what appears on the floor has the bluetinge I have added to the water. Proper access would mean removal of the complete toilet and a lot of making good. I intend smothering it with silicone sealant unless anyone has a better idea!

I have had the same problem and took the toilet header tank out and as you suggested did the silicon thing it is now leaking again so it looks like it will have to come out again this time i will take the lot to a caravan centre and see if the mechanics have an answer
