I have a black leather office chair which has a 3 inch tear in the seat cushion. Is there a way to repair this? It seems to get bigger with time the more we sit on the chair. I don't mind if it has a "scar" as long as it doesn't continue to get bigger.
Stitch it with stout button thread and a big needle.
At each end of the tear cut another tear at right angles about half an inch in each direction (you will have to stitch these too of course) and these two extra cuts will stop the original tear growing like this... I
Your chair will however be scarred for life but it will have character and a well loved look...
Good luck...
