How can i fix my hotpoint washing machine?

Hi, i have a Hotpoint WF860 washing machine and it will not let me wash anything and displays a message 'test', my landlord has told me that you enter a code but cant remember what it is. is there anyway of fixing this without having to call anyone out? You help would be most greatful.
