You have got the wrong software. Did your R4 come with a cd containing the software? If not try downloading software from R4.com
Mine did exactly the same. Keep trying different software. Its a bit late now, but you need to buy an R4 off people who supply the software with the R4.

what size micro sd are you using as they will only work with a 1gb or 2gb ,if its any bigger all that will come up on the top screen is a black screen with LOADING.......... .ok adam
