dont have citroen part number or fram number, for the air filter, but peugeot part number is 1444cp for the same engine.should be approx size of air filter box. on peugeots access is restricted. remove turbo pipe from turbo to air filter, (again!), 2 jubilee clips and clip off breather. unclip wire from air flow sensor, the air filter top comes off air filter box to allow access to filter. it has screws along front 2 or 3. might have to clamber on engine to see them. unscrew these they dont have to come out, just loosen all the way, and if your lucky the back will clip out of air box, lift forward and upwards. if not then they have put 2 or 3 screws at back of filter but im sure it just has 3 protusions which slot into air filter box.try not to pull whole airbox out, as its hard to get back in, and the rubber grommets it locates on fall down back of engine ,and it will cause bad vibrations inside car if these grommets fall out. nightmare eh?

another sealed unit. remove engine plastic cover. pull up. remove air filter pipe that goes from turbo to air filter. two jubilees and a breather pipe clipped off. as this goes on top of it and filter lifts up to remove. you may have to remove intake air pipe, from front of car to air filter too. one 10mm nut and the pipe pulls off both ends. push in white bits on fuel pipes and pull pipes, to release both fuel pipes. pull off wire at top of filter. push in fuel filter retaining clip at top centre of filter and pull filter up slightly. undo another wire from underneath filter(depending if yours has wire some dont). pull of clear pipe at bottom of filter(drain pipe) can leave this in situ. remove filter. may need to swap over water in diesel sensor wiring housing from old filter at bottom depepnds on spec. swap over plastic wiring plug if it has one. will pierce its way into new filter when tightening. housing on side of old filter slides off with fuel pipe inlet attached. gently prize backwards. slide off old filter. should have 2 new seals really (availible seperatley) to put on this housing for new filter. put on seals and slide on housing on new filter till it clicks. should not pull off easily when correctly fitted. refit filter to car. attach clear pipe, wire to bottom and click in filter onto housing. (slides on 2 plastic prongs downwards). fit two pipes and other wire. squeeze and keep squeezing fuel primer in middle of engine (under engine cover) till it has pressure. takes a while. refit air pipes. start engine and check for fuel leaks.
