Hinari steam generator iron no steam?

My Hinari iron has steam escaping from the base unit but not coming through the pipe to the iron. Can it be repaired?

don't spend your money on a calc cartrage it will not get it out of standby.
the controll unit carnt tell if it needs replaceing!

if the standby light is flashing it means it carnt heat the steam tank. if the iron is not heating as well it is a buggerd control pcb!

if you live near Newcastle I could fix it for 20 pounds

Have you tried pressing the on button on the left hand side? Also is yours new as does it only emit steam from the top holes on the soleplate?

Hi,

we are having exactly the same problem with our hinari HIN001. from what i can gather you need to fit a new anti calc cartridge. I'm ordering 1 today so will let you know if it solves the problem!.
