fitjutsu siemens amilo li 3710 laptop wont turn on?

fitjutsu siemens amilo li 3710 laptop.
My fitjutsu siemens amilo li 3710 laptop wont turn on. I have only had it six weeks and it wont power up even with the mains plugged in. If i take out the battery and put it back in it starts to power up but dies after a second. Any ideas?

I had a similar thing happen to my patriot 3070 notebook and my EI-System 3081 notebook. In both cases it was identifiable fixable, vented capacitors.
This problem should be fixed by a professional but if broke, brave, and a bit barmy :-) see my amateur fix at http://www.seabrooks.plus.com/laptop2.htm
