how can i fix my media player 11?

My friends tell me that the what song im playing information on my msn goes off after about two songs, the information always stays on at my end. The only way i can fix this is to click on the play/pause button on my media player or by stopping and restarting the song.This only lasts for another two songs then the song information is gone again. So it must be a fault in my media player. Can someone pls help as this is very annoying.
