my samsung all of a sudden stopped taking and sending texts and the same with calls, the book says the phone is out of service area, what the hell does that mean? why in a space of 3 secs did it do it? and how do i get it working again? please help i need my phone

Take the SIM out and wipe the gold contacts on it, switch the phone on, go into network settings, select manual selection, slect a network that you're not on, when it tells you it's unavailable and takes you back, select the network you're on.
