What can I use to stop the overflowing suds?

My son squirted dish liquid in the washer and started it and it keeps overflowing. What can I do to stop this?

You can use 1/2 cup of white vinigear or vegetable oil

put in about 1/2 to 1 cup of salt and run through the cycle - it will cut the suds

hi jen what you have is called suds lock. to sort it get some hand soap and a cup of water put soap in water wash around cup take out soap then take all rackes and spray arms out. start dishwasher when its full of water put soap&water in it will kill the suds. good luck.
