24i not firing up?

i have a Worcester 24i that wont fire up generally when the air temp and pressure drops. It sparks away but fails to ignite. Repeated attempts at resetting the power or turning the hot tap on and off eventually leads to success. Is it as simple as the pressure valve renewal?
