because its overheating, it only flashes when its overheating, do you have cooland in it, is your fan kicking in, listen for your fan if not lh side of the radiator is a fan switch with 2 connections on it, pull them off and bridge them if your fan works the you fan is ok, if not fan is goosed, but the most common failure is the water pump packing in becasue the bolts sheer off behind the casinh, thus therefore it will not pump cooland around then overheat, get this checked!!! be careful might have already damaged head gasket
