How can I fix my Kenmore that wraps clothes under the agitator?
What could be the problem be with my kenmore 80 series washing machine that wraps clothes under agitator during wash cycle? Everything else seems to work well. The machine is about 8 years old.
Lisa, put your washer on spin and use a pencil or pen to depress the lid switch, if your washer starts to spin and agitate at the same time then you have a bad gearcase/transmission. This is normally the cause of clothes wrapping around the agitator. Otherwise observe how you sort and select the proper agitate cycle to be used (fast/fast, fast/slow, slow/slow, extra slow/slow). good luck.
