How can I fix Hoover TV630 SIX Switch fault?

I have a Hoover TV630 SIX tumble dryer. The on/off switch does not work. When I switch the machine on, the machine starts to work, the drum rotates and the heating element comes on. When I remove pressure from the switch, it ceases to work and the red light goes off. Does the switch need replacing? Where can I get one? Can I replace it myself?
