Gas is not igniting in the small see thru window whilst both CH & water on?

i had the same problem, although in a back boiler, it was not igniting, nearlty got blisters pressing the restart button, to no avail.
i had the gas engineer round and he serviced the boiler, just a clean up really. It is probably just dust/dirt/fluff on the connectors. British Gas are doing great offers on a service at the mo. Mine always breaks down when the weather does!!!
