how can i stop blue light flashing on veritas alarm?

Blue light is constantly flashing although i thought i was able to set the alarm it doesn't appear to work tried to set the alarm off but no response. don't know much about it as electricians didn't leave info booklet. Small sticker under bottom of alarm has number50131 if that means anything.
