How can I fix my Washing Machine Beko WM1210?

The washing machine works fine during the wash. The water drains out of the machine at the end of the wash. However a half hour later water comes back into the drum and lodges there. Only way to get it out is to remove water filter unit behind kickboard at bottom.

Can anybody assist? (Also I'm not sure the part I'm removing to drain the machine is in fact the water filter)
