I think you format your microSD but you don`t make a backup copy from the R4 firmware, in the root directory of your microSD you must see a _system_ and a moonshl directories and 2 files named _DS_MENU.DAT and _DS_MSHL.NDS whitout this files your R4 don`t work, go to the website of your R4 maker an download a new firmware and install it.
