Is there any way at all that i can use these so called emailers purely as telephones only. ?
i.e. 2 b used as any other normal phones when i want to make a call and by passing any email operation deemed by so many people as a total rip off very much so including myself.
After all i did initially buy this appliance because of the phone facilities as portrayed and not ewanting to use the email options at all .

you could buy mine but it would only work at my address and only as a normal phone. I just dug it out of the loft and it works great but no email or games etc. NO charges anymore

Simple answer. No.
As to when you bought it. There was a prominent label on the box saying that it will not work (not even as a phone) unless you sign up to Amstrad's service.
