My 2 1/2 year old Baxi combi shuts down the heating side despite everything calling for heat. This happens intermittently for no apparent reason and I usually discover it when the rads have gone cold! Despite being 'off' something is still running, pump or flue fan? I have to switch the main electricity switch to the boiler off and on again to rectify the problem, the boiler then firing up as normal. The hot running water side is not affected.
hot water working , central heating not. any ideas? thanks

there is a return filter fitted inside the nut on the jig /pipe connections //to do this and check for debris and sludge you need to isolate the 2 black taps under boiler black tap furtherst left and black tap furtherst right inside the boiler to the right of the pump is a small white wheel valve open up and drain boiler into bucket underneath you will get about a 5th of a bucket then when water stops undo the silver 1/2 " nut on the return pipe this is found above the right hand black tap you have isolated it sits facin you underneath remove and check for crap // when complete refit open taps and re pressure to 1.5 bar
