Does the top of a maytag dependable care quiet plus washing machine lift up?

Our maytag washing machine starting spraying water out of the top rear of the machine. It is not the drain hose or supply hoses, but there is a hose underneath the electronics housing of the machine, but I cannot seem to get to it. Does anyone have any advise on how to get to this hose? thank you.
