I've just bought an old mondeo but when I try to unlock it the alarm goes off. The horn has been disconnected but the hazards still flash.
The key fob seems to have no effect
Is there a way to disable the alarm system or even just the hazard light relay?
The easiest way to disable it is to disconnect the bonnet switch. It thinks that the bonnet is open so the alarm doesn't set. Everything else works as normal. Had to do it to mine cos alarm kept going off whilst i was driving along!

try by dissconnecting the bonnet alarm switch [drivers side anear head light]
