Im trying to replace a dimmer switch with a normal light switch. the dimmer was part of a two way switch system with a normal switch on an upstairs level. The wiring to the dimmer has 2 red, 1 black, 1 blue, 1 yellow and two earth wires. the new switch has 3 ports,1marked common, 1 one way and 1 two way. cab you help with what goes where?
2 red wires to L1
black and blue wires to l2
yellow wire to COM
2 earths together in the earth terminal on the switch if there is one, otherwise in the backbox.
If that doesn't work properly, swap the blue and yellow wires around.
