I need the name of a colourless gel recently used by a plumber to fix the base of my washbasin tap which was loose. He just spread is all around the base of the tap & told me to leave it for several hours, it then completely washed away. It worked brilliantly but now the other tap is loose & I want to purchase this adhesive to fix it.
Nah!!! he's no plumber just a 'Cowboy' a plumber would have used a basin spanner and tightened up the tap securing nut under the sink. They are a pain to get to with pipes on. Nothing I know of would hold the taps because of the smooth no-porous surface.
If you still want to know ask at local plumbing store if there is anything [that I don't know about] that will hold a loose tap in place.
