You can fit a new pump easily but if you take the old one off then unscrew the three torques screws holding the white fan housing on and you will probably find something in there that is preventing the impellor from turning, if it is not a clip or cotton bud check behind the impellor for an elastic band, they are renowned for stopping the pumps from working.More Hotpoint fault finding at www.selfix-uk.co.uk
