Mend Hoover Bagless Upright

can the tensioner on a hoover bagless upright be fixed or replaced?

I replaced a V belt on my hoover upright bagless and the agitator brush worked temporarily and then V belt started slipping again. It will turn slightly when there is nothing restricting the roller but not when it comes in contact with the carpet. Can the tensioner be adjusted or replaced. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the tension bar with the V belt on correctly. Any help would be much appreciated.
