How can I fix my Sanyo?

My Tv suddenly has a series of closely spaced white lines on the left hand side of the screen going vertically. There is a grouping of about 8 and a space and another grouping of 9 or so. It is on the screen itself and doesn't interfere with the picture as it can be seen behind the lines.
