Peugeot 206 auto gearbox problems need advice?

4 months agos sports and snow warning lights kept coming on, then loss of power, rectified itself when ignition turned off but only for about a week
Took it into peugeot and they did diagnostic check and said it was the hydraulic block replaced this adjusted ball blade and multifunction switch carried out engine and gearbox ecu download and replaced oil £637.64 .
problem has now returned peugeot now say it needs new gearbox i think they are trying to pass the buck advice please

I had similar problem while driving in morning and technician told me that its engine solenoid which needs replacement but its summer and i'm having this trouble here in Riyadh

Codes and live data needs to be read. It is possible for the manual valve to be out of line slightly, this would mean the need to adjust the switch. If it drives OK until the lights start to flash then the box should be fairly sound. I have had to recheck this type of fault after a dealer repair. Manual valve first then put switch back to its original position then should be OK. What on earth is a ball blade?
