The E1 warning light comes on after a few minutes of drying cycle. It is well vented and clean so overheating should not be a problem. Manual is unclear as to what the fault could be.
Also remove the lower cover and then the galvanized fan cover and vacuum the area clean of all lint and coins.. two sensors on the top from left to right are fuse (white sensor with 1 screw) and temperature sensor (resistor with 2 screws) the temp one could be sending bad signals to your control and its cheap to replace..

Remove the top cover and inside there is a manual. Did you find that one? - Check that listing for the error code.. The HE3 is famous for buttons sticking so remove the top cover and put a hair-dryer to the back PC boards of the main controls to dry them off and see what you get.. Rob@ammoman.com
