Leyland DAF 45 - fuses!?

Having bother with fuses - fuseboard on the lower left of dash board, next to steering wheel. The two 15AMP fuses for the lights have overheated, to the extent one has melted but not blown!! Obviously concerned, any clues as to a cause or hopefully easy fix??

I had a similar problem with my daf 45. It turned out to be a short in the rear lights where the cable had rubbed through and earthed on the chassis. Hope this is of some help to you.
