i have the same problem exept my seat post snapped just above the frame when trying these tips any one know how to go about drilling using a reamer to extract the seat post

if you take the saddle off the bike , and if you know anybody who has a bench vice, turn the bike upside down , putting the seatpost into the vice, lock it in . use a hammer , on the vice arm , now you can hold the bike frame, try turning the frame right to left, with the seatpost locked in the vice,if you get a little movement " you will get it out , thats what we in the bike shop,

I don't know modern bikes but you might consider drilling a hole through the seat post to get a tommy-bar (screwdriver) through it - to twist and pull at the same time - also the application of some gentle heat to the seat tube may make it expand and ease things a little - also a gentle tap inwards (not too far) may "break" any corrosion - also a squirt of WD40 would do no harm.
Get someone stronger than yourself on the job - in my house it's usually any passing child!
