Candy 1200 AA Class 8 KG washing machine makes loud noise and jumps?

Our Candy 1200 AA Class 8 KG washing machine makes a loud noise and jumps during the last 15 minutes of the Cotton cycle and then sits there not doing anything for a while. Then jumps again and stops again. And it doesn't complete the cycle, but stays in that last 15 minute portion for hours. Any ideas what could cause that?
