Iveco 35c13 2000 reg unijet will not start?

I have a 2000 iveco 35c13 after being stood for a few months went to start it and fitted a new battery the low pressure pump was stuck gave it a tap and the van eventually started drove it 2.5 miles turned it off left it for a couple of hours went to start it and it turned over for ever but it evenually started then left it over night and now it will not start at all the pump is working ok with out having to tap it any help would be apppreciated forgot to say it turns over ok it just will not start
