Latitude D600 will not boot?

I have tried everything in this post other than taking the laptop apart and checking the connectors. Before I do this, does anyone know of a definite fix other than pressing on various areas of the keyboard? Should I try replacing the motherboard? I am an IT professional and I am really stumped by this one.
