Intermittent fault.
Does not allways erase an old recording.
Goes through the procedure and sometimes produces a ticking noise. The display shows "erasing".
On occasions have had to try as often six or seven times before having any success.
try the upgrade for this machine .you can get it from phillips.if still does sort the problem out then your laser is on it way out.this part is now nla .its time to get a new 1.
