replacing thermostat in fridge/freezer Beko?

just bought a new thermostat which fits into unit inside fridge with light fitting, seems a simple exchange but one part of the coil goes out of this unit and i cannot see where it ends up, it is a Beko CDA752. This female pensioner needs some advice please.
