I have a 317XP that starts, idles, and cuts small stuff just fine. However, when I start in on a big tree, and really run the saw hard, it just dies, sounds exactly like when a saw runs out of gas. Any ideas?
Its running lean, check/replace fuel filter in the tank, check the fuel hose for cracks or splits, later machines are very prone to blocked fuel tank breathers, when it starts to die slacken the filler cap, does it pick up,if all else fails richen the H screw by 1/4 turn out.
